One end of the Rs232-PPI is connected to the PLC, and the other end is the RS232 port. Generally, the notebook does not have a desktop machine.

Overview: USB / PPI provides serial connection and RS485 signal conversion and PPI protocol conversion via USB interface. The programming cable emulates the computer’s USB interface as a traditional serial port (commonly referred to as a COM port) under the control of a drive running in the computer, using a variety of existing programming software, communication software, and monitoring software. The working power of this cable is taken from the USB port and is no longer powered by the programming port of the PLC. The two-color LED on the converter box indicates the data transmission and reception status.
How to use: The USB / PPI programming cable needs to be installed with the USB device driver. These drivers are included on the CD-ROM that came with the product. For the installation method, please refer to the documentation on the driver CD, which will not be described here.

After the driver is installed, the COM port corresponding to the USB / PPI programming cable will appear in the Windows Device Manager. Simply select the COM port in the programming software or other application software, the next time you use the same as the traditional RS232. The port programming cable is identical. It should be noted that the programming cable does not support the “USB” option for the local communication port settings in the programming software.
